Strap in for a Google maps screenshot tour of the local area, the distance to the different campus’ and some of the local amenities.

We’ve got some picture of shops, pubs, parks and other bits. Apparently site ranking is all about relevant content.

Here is a list of the basics.

First up >

1. The ridge

A big green space on your back yard. You can walk all the way to Golden acre park. It’s priceless. The city on one side of the house, and a life line of nature on the other.

2. Leeds University

The Leeds University main campus is less than a mile away. A google maps estimate for Parkinson building is a 15 – 20 minute walk, and we all know that’s a gentle pace. Check it out.

3. Leeds Beckett University

The main Leeds Beckett University Campus is not much further, a bit further down the road at the start of ‘town’. An extra 10 mins-ish. Once you’ve got as far as the Parkinson building, it’s all down hill, in a good way, towards Leeds Beckett and Leeds City Centre.

4. Leeds Beckett Headingley Campus

The Leeds Beckett Headingley Campus is a bit more of a thump up Otley Road. Almost twice as far, but still only 40 minutes. By bike it’s only 15 minutes with a few choices of routes to keep it interesting.

5. Leeds Art University Blenheim Walk

Leeds Art University has two campuses. The closest is Blenheim Walk which is 0.6 of a mile.

Vernon Street

Leeds Art University OG campus is here at Vernon St. A relic of a bygone age. Even with the added mezzanines, you can see it was purpose built as art studios. All-in on windows and natural light.

Walking wise, its around 25 minutes at 1.3 miles.

Northern School of Contemporary Dance

Another short walk, less than a mile to Chapeltown Road. Northern School of Contemporary Dance (NSCD) is a leading centre for contemporary dance in the UK.
